Lion vs Tiger ” Gir Forest Fight” full edition

This is the so-called Lion vs Tiger fight that occur in Gir Forest, however according to some Lion experts, they think that the Lion isn’t of the asiatic subspecies(There is no belly fold), instead it seems like a Transvaal Lion(South African Lion, Panthera leo krugeri). This complete version shows that whole fight, and a very weird thing is that the Tiger fell down when the lion barely touches it, and when Lion came nearer, the supposedly dead tiger got up and attacked the Lion and chased him away. There are rumours that the Tiger was a old tiger that was bought from a circus to be pitted into a fight with the lion because only Circus tigers know how to play dead. The tiger played dead and attack the Lion in surprise, a wild tiger have never been known to do such a thing. Moreover tigers have never been know to live in the Gir Forest, thus how would a fight occur? And how would a Transvaal Lion be in the gir Forest? Is this gir forest at all? And there are also many camera angles which suggest that many video cameras have been placed there to purposely film this fight instead of bumping into a fight like they say on the 16mm film. Did the tiger really die? Or is he playing dead using such tactic it learnt in the circus and applying it in a fight? Did the Lion really beat the tiger or did the Lion flee(as you can see at the end of the video video)? It has also been said that the tiger has been shot or shot by tranquilizing dart thus it suddenly fall to the ground, but …

a lion would win, a tiger is stronger but not by that much. i lion would win because its whole life it fights in it pride with other lions so that it can be alpha male. its constantly fighting, where as a tiger just stalks its pray it goes in for a fast easy kill

Getting enjoyment from this video is the work of a pure retard. This video seems old and I hope people who made this video died from a severe and painful heart attack for making these two beautiful cats fight one another!

if u compare tiger n lion based on a size,weight,height,power,speed,claw,jaws,size of prey n etc,this is wrong!
on a solo hunt against a prey,tiger good than lion..
but lion good than tiger in fight between bigcat n bigcat..
with the looks,skill n mane lion is the king of beast.XD

@Oliiiverr The Siberian Tiger (also known as the Amur Tiger) IS the Largest cat on the planet its a well known FACT this wont let me post the link . Its from National Geographic so search Siberian Tigers on their page. I also worked in a zoo several years ago and saw both the Siberian Tiger and the African Lion up close and the Tiger was definately bigger, also your Siberian Tiger project states that it is the largest of the tigers but a Bengal is almost the same size. FACTS

@aQubaisi, dude what the hell are you smoking? how would a siberian tiger be double the size/weight of an african lion? lions and tigers are cousin species and both are of equal size, strength, bite force, height, weight, etc. i would favour a male lion in a 1 on 1 because that’s what male lions do. they grow up big and strong and fight. they fight for a pride and then they fight to keep it. a lion’s mane does help with protecting there neck and shoulders though.

I’m getting tired of correcting people on this, according to National Geographic and Animal Planet, an average lion and tigers biteforce are both around 1000 lbs… I can even give you a video link to where they state this if you’d like?

A nameless documentry is meaningless to me. Explain how a Siberian tiger which according to the Siberian Tiger Project averages under 400 lbs, is 3.5 ft high at the shoulder and around 7 foot long excluding the tail is twice the size of a Lion who averages around 450 lbs (alongside the Bengal Tiger) is 4 ft high at the shoulder and has a greater body length.
Richard Dawkins is a biologist and world famous evolutionist that covers felines too. Plus he was surrounded by a TEAM of experts

You have no idea what you’re talking about, research from The Siberian Tiger Project in 2009 indicates Siberian Tigers are in fact smaller than the Bengal tiger and the African Lion. 400 pounds heavier? So that would make a Siberian tiger 850 lbs on average you’re living in a dream world…

@Oliiiverr I watched a documentary yesterday and they said the Amur(Siberian) Tiger is almost twice the size of an African lion. Saying you did your research and yet you favor the lion at the end of your comment shows your ignorance. On Average the Bite force of a lion is 400 Pounds however the tiger is 1000 pounds. Research again ! Richard Dawkins isnt a big cat expert ! How is he even relevant ?

@superelephant36 you super crazy human being. The Lion’s mane gives the Lion the advantage it needs to win. The Tiger would probably run after seing a Lion coming after it. I know I would. The mane is intimidating and the Lion fights for the hell of it anyway. Winner:Lion.
